Intanto che il portavoce di Haftar continua a parlare di terroristi a Tripoli sostenendo che la città costiera sia “ostaggio” dell’ISIS, e mentre le fake news gestite dall’LNA si moltiplicano, la Capitale della Libia prosegue la propria quotidianità di una domenica densa di preoccupazione.
Il ministero della Salute del governo di unità nazionale (GNA) ha reso noto che almeno 21 persone sono morte e altre 27 sono rimaste ferite oggi negli scontri tra l’esercito nazionale libico e i militari che fanno capo dal generale Khalifa Haftar, nelle periferie di Tripoli.
Il comunicato diffuso su Facebook parla di “21 morti e 27 feriti”. Tra i civili si parla di 4 morti.
Ma la guerra non è entrata a Tripoli e le forze dell’LNA stanno perdendo terreno.
Una ultim’ora dice che la Libya Air Force ha bombardato la base aerea di Wattiya vicino al confine con la Tunisia per essere utilizzata da collaboratori con gli invasori orientali (LNA) per attaccare aerei sul campo Naqliya lungo la strada verso l’aeroporto (Airport Road), nonostante le precedenti promesse da parte di LNA di mantenere la base aerea lontana dai combattimenti.
Nella giornata di oggi, la Mezzaluna Rossa libica a Tripoli ha invitato tutte le parti a mettere in sicurezza e rendere neutrali dal conflitto armato i quartieri residenziali, gli ospedali e le istituzioni di servizio.
In una dichiarazione, la Mezzaluna Rossa ha sottolineato la necessità di rispettare le regole del diritto umanitario internazionale, fornire protezione agli innocenti e rispettare l’emblema della Mezzaluna Rossa, nonché aiutare i volontari a portare avanti il loro imperativo umanitario.
La Mezzaluna Rossa ha istituito numeri di emergenza per aiutare i cittadini in difficoltà nelle aree di coinvolgimento.
Nella mattinata di oggi, il capo del Consiglio presidenziale Fayez Al-Sarraj ha incontrato il procuratore militare Fathi Saad e ha discusso sul come portare davanti alla giustizia tutti coloro che hanno guidato l’attacco in diverse città libiche.
L’incontro ha visto anche discussioni sul deposito e la documentazione di crimini e violazioni attuali così come delle violazioni dei diritti umani commesse da diverse parti.
Al-Sarraj ha menzionato sabato nel suo discorso che tutti i soggetti coinvolti nell’attacco contro Tripoli dovrebbero essere ritenuti responsabili nei tribunali locali e internazionali.
Oggi è stata anche annunciata l’operazione “Volcano of Rage” (Burkan Al-Ghadab) che mira a sconfiggere tutte le forze coinvolte nel “colpo di stato”, in tutto il paese.
Secondo una fonte dell’operazione Burkanal Ghadab citata dal canale televisivo Libya Al-Ahrar, Al-Sarraj aveva rifiutato le mediazioni internazionali per un cessate il fuoco per poi chiedere loro di mettere il “ribelle Haftar” e le sue forze sotto il controllo internazionale.
Sempre oggi navi da guerra militari del comando USA hanno evacuato un numero di cittadini americani nel villaggio costiero di Palm City nel distretto di Janzour, a ovest della capitale.
In una dichiarazione di AFRICOM si legge che un contingente di forze statunitensi che supportano AFRICOM si è temporaneamente trasferito dalla Libia in risposta alle condizioni di sicurezza. AFRICO continuerà a monitorare le condizioni sul terreno ed a valutare la fattibilità di una rinnovata presenza militare degli Stati Uniti, a seconda dei casi.

Today morning, Presidential Council chief Fayez Al-Sarraj met with military prosecutor Fathi Saad and discussed how to bring to justice all those who led the attack in different Libyan cities.
The meeting also saw discussions on the filing and documentation of current crimes and violations as well as human rights violations committed by various parties.
Al-Sarraj mentioned Saturday in his speech that all those involved in the attack against Tripoli should be held accountable in local and international courts.
Today, the “Volcano of Rage” operation (Burkan Al-Ghadab) was announced, which aims to defeat all the forces involved in the “coup” throughout the country.
According to a source of the operation Burkanal Ghadab quoted by the TV channel Libya Al-Ahrar, Al-Sarraj had refused international mediations for a ceasefire and then asked them to put the “rebel Haftar” and his forces under international control.
Also today US military command warships have evacuated a number of US citizens in the coastal village of Palm City in the Janzour district, west of the capital.
An AFRICOM statement reads that a contingent of US forces supporting AFRICOM have temporarily moved from Libya in response to security conditions and that US will continue to monitor conditions on the ground and assess the feasibility of a renewed US military presence, as appropriate.
